The digitally enhanced tape recording (streamable at 56kbps) of the June
9th 2003 Chicago Council on Foreign Relations is now online and available
here. The original flyer for it is here and here.
The school's main page is here and the CCFR page for the school is here.
The presentation was by Michael Hirsh and was titled "Why America is Squandering its Chance to Build a Better World", and took place from 7:00 to 9:00 pm (recording started at around 7:15 pm). Michael Hirsh is a senior editor for Newsweek. The presentation took place at the College of DuPage in the Turner Conference Center in the SRC building.
It was recorded without permission with a small tape recorder in my backpack. It was later digitally enhanced.
As you know, the leftist CCFR is the Chicago branch of the subversive,
socialist, pro world-government organization called the Council on Foreign Relations, based in New York City. This group publishes a periodical titled "Foreign Affairs" and is available here. The Chicago division homepage is here and the primary homepage is here. They are also greatly criticized and blacklisted by the New American magazine.
Here's some statistics about the presentation (My summary):
"Contains a few truthful points, but is primarily filled with globalist propaganda. It outlines a feud between two political systems of which I do not identify with (the Unilateralists versus the Multilateralists; I would be a Non-lateralist since I disapprove of foreign policy on the basis of the Declaration of Independence)"
Some more notes:
The CFR tries to:
* mold both parties (Republican and Democrat) to their own global ideologies
* promote global "teamwork"
* greatly support UN control and intervention, but claim it's not big and powerful enough
* describe Clinton as a "moderate", even though he's a radical interventionist
(not a moderate position)
One person in the parking lot had an engraved Masonic symbol on their license plate (the CFR is home to many members of Freemasonry).
They greatly used the term "Reaganism"
They praised Woodrow Wilson, FDR, and Harry Truman, all of whom I greatly
dislike.
Hirsh denies generalized media bias
Attendance statistics:
Estimated about 20% senior citizens
About 30% youth
About 50% adults
Saw Mr. Aikman, my fall quarter 2000 English teacher
Saw Tim Prorok, and talked to him afterwards (told him that I hate the CFR,
and that I'm including them in a report for school).
Saw the radical socialist girl from my Winter 2003 Political Science class (the one with the Islamic socialist teacher), she asked the question pertaining to helping global security in the Middle East.
One guy worked for the Department of Energy at a nearby national lab
Mostly they are simply another one of the "non-governmental" world
government framework organizations that I hate. But mainly the CCFR's relationship with the College of DuPage is extremely suspicious; primarily because the main CFR used to be a barely known organization, and now there are advertisements all over COD for it, including mailings, and even large advertisements in COD periodicals and bulletins (including their own website). This kind of relationship wants me to get out of that school very fast...
